About Me

My name is Rich Winslow, formerly known as Cerulean Designs. I'm a web designer based out of Gainesville, FL and have been programming and designing now for over 7 years. Everything I know about the process of web design has been self-taught over the years by experimenting with colors, shapes and typography.

As you can see by the current iteration of this site, not everything has to be cluttered or overwhelming to be attractive and easy to use.

I specialize in Web Standards Compliant XHTML/CSS coding to ensure that your website will work the same way in popular web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

To help you with updating and to create a more dynamic experience for your users, I have several years of experience with PHP and MySQL. This allows me to create a Content Management System for you to easily update your own site. If you only need a few things, I can create custom scripts for you based on your needs. I'll bend to you.

If you need things to react a little differently, I also have experience with AJAX and Javascript. I can help your site update on-the-fly without forcing your users to refresh the webpage.

I also have many years of experience with Adobe Photoshop, allowing me to create eye-catching work for your website or printed items.

Currently I'm studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida with the hope of working on green technologies, renewable energy specifically. Web and other design work is a way for me to relax, build something, and pay for my schooling. Let me help you with your project so I can help the world.
